Worship |
In worship the people of
God acknowledge God present in the world and in their lives. As they respond to God's
claim and redemptive action in Jesus Christ, believers are transformed and renewed.
In worship, the faithful offer themselves to God and are
equipped for God's service in the world. First
Presbyterian has two worship services every weekend. Each service is
distinctly different, except for the sermon and scripture lessons, providing a
variety in worship that allows individuals to worship in the way that best
speaks to them. Our
contemporary worship service begins at 9:00 am on Sunday in the Fellowship
Hall. It is informal, so come as you are. Our praise team leads the
congregation in music of praise and worship while the latest technology and
graphics are used through the service to help people connect through both
hearing and seeing. Our
traditional worship service is a truly traditional service. It begins at 11:00
am. This style of worship includes liturgy and familiar hymns, our chancel
choir and organ music. Holy
Communion is served on the first Sunday of the month at both services. Sunday School returns September 7, 2008 at 9:30 am Join
us for a cup of coffee: Between the
two worship services, we would love to get to know you over a cup of coffee
& refreshments.
